Why the people of Tilba are so happy

A recent survey conducted by the University of Melbourne has found that Australians who live in towns with a population of fewer than 1,000 people are significantly happier than people who live in larger towns and cities.

The ABC picked ran a story about this and chose to speak to the President of the Tilba Chamber of Commerce, Peter Lonergan to see what it is like living in a small town. Of course there is no surprises for us, we have always loved living in a small town and Tilba is a wonderful place.

Why not come and visit yourself and see why we all love Tilba so much. You can read the full story here.

Places We Go Visit Tilba and Narooma

.

Tilba and Narooma were the setting for the recent filming of the show Places We Go. Hosts Jennifer and Clint presented the piece highlighting some of the wonderful attractions in the area from the coast to the country.

With the seaside town of Narooma only a short 15minute drive from Tilba, Jennifer and Clint taste some of the fresh local seafood and take a cruise along Wagonga Inlet enjoying some time on the water with some locals and gain an insight into local life and history.

They then venture up the road to Tilba and take a behind the scenes look at the ABC Cheese Factory, meet some local dairy cows and taste the handcrafted cheeses made onsite.

Of course the highlight of the piece is when Jennifer and Clint dropped in to visit us and taste some of our homemade Mrs Jamieson’s Fudge. They were both astounded at the variety of fudge flavours we offer and after tasting some described it as divine.
